Stoke, the fixed-wireless convergence company, raises $15M more

Stoke, the company that wants to let you use your mobile phone or other device on your wireless carrier while on the go, but let you switch to your broadband connection at home, has raised $15 million more in a fourth round of financing.

The company recently partnered with WiFi Internet access provider Trustive, which has roaming agreements with more than 70 hotspot operators in more than 65 countries. The partnership will seek to enable a seamless mobile broadband data experience. Stoke seeks to serve carriers across their network offerings, as they build out new infrastructures like LTE and Femtocell.

The latest sum brings the company’s total funding to date to more than $65 million. The latest investment will be used to support the rapidly increasing installed base and commercial carrier trials with top-tier carriers. Stoke has now been shipping its Stoke Session Exchange 3000 for commercial deployments since January, 2008

The financing includes investment by Net One Systems, Japan’s leading networking and systems integration provider. Also included in this round are existing investors Reliance Technology Ventures Limited (RTVL), the corporate venture capital arm of the Reliance ADA Group, DAG Ventures, Integral Capital Partners, Pilot House Ventures, Sequoia Capital, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
