Web TV studio For Your Imagination gets its funding wish
Online television studio For Your Imagination nabbed an undisclosed amount of funding from OmniReliant Holdings in a bridge capital round this week. The investor, primarily interested in direct marketing opportunities (with a focus on beauty and skincare products), will get an equity interest in the studio.
The pair has partnered before. During For Your Imagination’s online series “A Day with the Hiltons,” Kathy Hilton and her daughters Nicky and Paris spent time with winners of a competition sponored by Kathy Hilton’s signature fragrance “My Secret,” an OmniReliant-licensed product.
For Your Imagination — which produces content that runs on other video sites like Hulu and Veoh — previously raised $1.3 million in seed funding from Consensus One Ventures, and plans to use the money for ongoing operations. It has several projects in the hopper, with the recent launch of Axis of Comedy, a portal to other web comedy series. The studio also plans team up with the creators of popular web sitcom “Break a Leg” on their new creation “Lurker” — a series about an online gossip magazine.
