Electric car maker Think Global raising another $80M

Think Global, a Norwegian maker of electric vehicles, plans to raise $80 million in a third round of funding by the end of the year, according to VentureWire. It has already raised $30 million from the backers who financed for Think Global’s $60 million second round last year.

Think Global plans to boost production capacity to 10,000 cars by the end of 2009. It already has 1,000 cars on the road in Scandinavian countries. Its cars are “battery agnostic.”
