MoFuse gets seed funding to create sites for the mobile web

As the mobile web continues to be used more and more with the rise of unlimited data plans, more and more publishers are looking for ways to get their content on it. That’s where MoFuse comes in.

The Providence-R.I.-based company gives users an easy way to publish content for mobile devices. This can be both original content set up through a blog on the site or by converting an existing site to be mobile-ready. The company says it currently serves over 12,000 blogs currently.

The sites number of pagesviews has increased 935 percent since January of this year, according to the company’s press release.

Even though the iPhone is touted as showing users the “real web,” that is, the web as its seen on regular computer browsers, some people prefer sites tailored for the iPhone as well. MoFuse has the capability to built an iPhone-enhanced version of your site.

The seed round was provided by the Slater Technology Fund. The amount was undisclosed.
