Horsley Bridge closes $1.76B fund of funds

Horsley Bridge Partners, a San Francisco firm that invests in venture capital and other private equity firms, has closed its ninth “fund of funds” with a total of $1.76 billion, according to VentureWire.

Horsley Bridge is best known for its relationship with venture firms like Kleiner Perkins Caulfield and Byers and Foundation Capital, but it has been expanding to invest in more growth equity and buyout funds. The Indiana Public Employees’ Retirement Fund contributed $75 million to the first close of this round, which was for $975 million.
