Cooking.com raises $13M from Azure Capital Partners

Cooking.com, the Santa Monica, Calif.-based shopping site for cooking supplies, has raised $13 million of venture funding from Azure Capital Partners and venture debt from ORIX Venture Finance.

The company’s technology also powers the shopping at four other sites — StarbucksStore.com, BettyCrockerStore.com, PillsburyStore.com and FoodNetworkStore.com. Cooking.com executives plan use the funding to add other sites to that list, increase the social networking capabilities on those sites and open a second distribution facility in Ohio.

Cooking.com was founded in 1998.
