T-Mobile invests in roaming software creator Roamware

Mobile roaming company Roamware has received a strategic investment from T-Mobile Venture Fund, the investment arm of T-Mobile. The size of the investment was not disclosed.

San Jose-based Roamware makes network-based software applications that help carriers increase users’ roaming capabilities. The company says its software is installed on 317 operator networks on 127 countries.
It identifies the funding as a “mezzanine investment,” meaning that it’s the last financing that Roamware plans to raise before its IPO.

T-Mobile Venture Fund also announced a $6 million investment in location-based application platform deCarta today.
