Playboox raises $3 million, possibly for software development

Playboox, Inc., which was formerly known as SalesEdge, Inc., has secured a $3 million first round of preferred stock financing.

Little is known about the company other than it formerly did software development and distribution. I say “formerly” because the new Playboox website (which is currently just a landing page stating that the site is “coming soon”) seems to indicate a possible change or direction with the tagline “Prepare to win!”

Playboox is based out of San Francisco, Calif. We’ll update if we are able to find out more.
