European investors help Mayfield’s push into India

Silicon Valley venture capital firm Mayfield Fund has raised $75 million of a targeted $150 million fund for to invest in India companies.

The Cayman Islands-based “Mayfield India” fund has raised money from Switzerland’s Adveq Asia, Denmark’s Industriens Pensionforsikrunk and Stockholdm’s Skandia Life Insurance. Looks like big European investors have the biggest appetite for India right now.

Partners in the effort include James Beck, Navin Chaddha, Vikran Godse, Nikhil Khattan and Robert Vasan.
