CNS Protein Therapeutics raising angel round for Parkinson’s research

A recently started company in Palo Alto, Calif. called CNS Protein Therapeutics is seeking a round of $1-2 million for research into Parkinson’s and other neurodegenerative diseases, according to a regulatory filing obtained by VentureBeat.

The company appears to have taken about a quarter of a planned $1 million funding from its founders, John and Gerald Commissiong. However, a profile on GoBig Network indicates that the company may be looking for $2 million.

John Commissiong has a Ph.D., with a background in neurophysiology and molecular neuroscience, according to summary here. He is also listed as president and CEO of a company called Neurotrohics in Toronto, Canada.
