MediaXstream acquires Secure Media Solutions

MediaXstream, a provider of network services for media production and broadcast industries, has acquired Secure Media Solutions, according to peHUB. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will give MediaXstream more access to applications and help provide consulting and solutions to film and television clients.

“We are a natural fit with MediaXstream. The MediaXstream DTM network offers a services platform with inherent qualities that film and production companies demand – security, native high definition transport, and high QOS reliability,” Secure Media Solutions chief executive Tom Kemp states in the company’s press release.

The San Jose-based MediaXstream recently raised a $10 million series A round from Constellation Ventures and Columbia Venture Corp.
