Online publisher Ziff Davis Enterprise raises $20 million from Bessemer

Ziff Davis Enterprise, a publisher of technology business news sites like eWeek and CIOInsight.com as well as other resources for IT departments and software developers, has raised $20 million from Bessemer Venture Partners.
The company, which was bought by private equity firm Insight Venture Partners last July, says it is looking to make acquisitions and further develop its efforts in what it vaguely describes as “audience development, social media, and contextual content.”
In case you were wondering about the many companies that contain the name Ziff Davis, there’s also the bankrupt Ziff Davis Media company, and separately, Cnet’s ZDnet.com.
