Dizzywood raises $1M for children’s gaming

Dizzywood is an online game and virtual world for kids in the preteen age range, what you might call the “graduating class” of Club Penguin.

The game emphasizes storylines and adventures in a world with a meddling arch-rival. It’s currently in open beta testing.

Shelby Bonnie of Charles River Ventures led the $1 million round, according to TechCrunch, with other angel investors participating. Dizzywood is based in San Francisco.
