Advanced Technology Ventures closes new $303M fund

Advanced Technology Ventures, a venture firm based in Palo Alto and Waltham, Mass., has closed its eighth fund at $303 million

ATV typically invests in internet and computing technologies, communications, cleantech and healthcare.

The firm recently regained principal Todd Kimmel, who co-founded cellulosic ethanol company Coskata (coverage here). Three senior associates also just joined: Thomas Caputo, Ken Ebbitt and Dharmesh Thakker, all of whom will work in the firms’ IT branch.
