2Wire buys Kenati, to extend broadband service platform
2Wire, a San Jose, Calif. provider of broadband service products for companies serving consumers, said it has acquired Kenati Technologies, a home networking software maker, for an undisclosed amount
2Wire, a decade old company that has raised around $200 million from investors such as Venrock Associates, Oak Investment Partners and Dell Ventures, is mulling a public offering next year.
2Wire said Kenati’s technology will help it better server telecom operators as it works with them to sell digital media services to consumers.
