WeGame, an online gaming company founded by Berkeley student Jared Kim, has raised $500,000 according to a recent filing.
The company — which is keeping its plans a secret — was founded last spring, while Kim was still a freshman. The funding came in August from True Ventures and The Hit Forge.

He started at VentureBeat in the spring of 2007, half a year or so after Matt Marshall left his reporting job at the San Jose Mercury News to found the site.
