Avail Media, acquires ViewNow, for video-on-demand boost
Avail Media, which provides video-on-demand programming, has acquired (see release) a similar company, ViewNow, from Sunnvale, Calif.’s Kasenna Inc.
Avail, of Reston, Va., didn’t disclose the amount of the deal.
Avail raised $17 million raised a second round of capital earlier this year from Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Columbia Capital.
ViewNow has deals with Buena Vista/Disney, DreamWorks SKG, Lions Gate Films, NBC/Universal, New Line Cinema, Paramount, 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros.
