CRI Technologies riases $10M for virtualization consulting
CRI Technologies, a Shelton, Conn. company that offers consulting about to businesses about when and how to use virtualization technology, has raised $10 million in a first round of funding.
Commonwealth Capital Ventures and Sigma Partners co-led the round, the company said in a statement.
A portion of the funding was used for the acquisition of virtualization consulting company Computer Resolutions.
Virtualization lets multiple operating systems run on the same machines, thus reducing the number of servers a company needs to buy — reducing hardware and IT costs.
