Mobius Power, secretive battery company, raises $4.5M
Mobius Power, a secretive Sunnyvale, Calif. company building a new battery technology, has raised $4.5 million in a seed round of funding, according to VentureWire (subscription required), citing an unnamed investor.
The round included Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sigma Partners and Walden International, said Lightspeed founding General Partner Peter Nieh. Joining Nieh on the Mobius Power board are Wade Woodson of Sigma Partners and Andrew Kau of Walden International…Woodson declined to comment on the company beyond writing in an email that it was “too unformed to be interesting.”
