Burrill latest VC firm to expand into Asia — Malaysia, India and China

San Francisco healthcare venture capital firm Burrill & Co. is just the latest firm to boost its acitivities in Asia, raising funds earmarked for China and India, and already raising a new $150 million Malaysia fund, VentureWire reports (sub required).

Burrill finished raising a $150 million Malaysian fund last year, it said, which will span beyond Malaysia in geography, and will target health care as well as energy and agricultural areas. It is targeting $100 million to $200 funds for each of China and India, the firm said.
