Jitterbug, which sells phones for elderly, raises $5M
Jitterbug, a Del Mar, Calif. company that targets elderly users (aged 55+) of cell-phones, offering phones with big buttons and simple, clear screens, has raised $5 million from Nauta Capital, a Spanish venture capital firm.
The phones are co-designed with Samsung. Jitterbug says it has more than 20,000 new subscribers since its launch in October 2006.
