The firm has an interesting application of near field optical methods, derived from recent use of tapered optical fiber NSOM probes, but in a fixed optical configuration of an array of sub optical light apertures, imaged by a staring camera. Given the renewed funding, hopefully their apparent prior challenges of signal to noise (alluded to in career postings) have been solved, before this larger round.
