Websense buys information leak prevention co., PortAuthority for $90M
Websense, a Web security and filtering software company, will acquire PortAuthority of Palo Alto for about $90 million.
PortAuthority, which sells an information leak prevention technology, had raised about $46 million in financing from ALP Enterprises, CAP Ventures, Greylock, Lexington Ventures, NEA and Sequoia Capital. The money was raised over five years, so this investment looks to be about break-even.
