HP to buy Bitfone, expand mobile lineup
Palo Alto’s Hewlett-Packard said it will buy Bitfone, adding software used to control mobile e-mail to its product lineup.
Laguna Niguel, Calif.’s Bitfone, which has about 130 employees, makes software that companies use to configure cell phones and other devices to ensure they work with corporate e-mail systems, HP said in a statement. Terms for the purchase weren’t disclosed.
