Network security co., iPolicy, raises $3M

Network security company iPolicy Networks, of Fremont, has secured $3 million to add to its earlier second round of funding, reports VentureWire (sub required).

The September B-1 round is an add-on to iPolicy’s 2005 Series B, which closed with $15 million, Senior Director of Finance Deepa Prashant said. The company has raised $44 million to date.

Return backers Clearstone Venture Partners, Ignite Group and the Entrepreneurs’ Fund participated in the financing, which the company will use for market expansion, Prashant said.
