MetroFi raises $6M more for WiFi deployments
MetroFi, the start-up rolling out city-wide WiFi offerings, has raised $6 million in a second round of venture capital, chief executive Chuck Haas told Gigaom.
It raised the funding from Sevin Rosen Fund and August Capital in June. This follows an earlier $9 million first round.
The company has just turned on WiFi in Foster City, after having suited up several other Bay Area cities over the past couple of years.
Haas said the company plans to raise money sometime next year.
