Liquid Engines raises additional $5.5 Million from Carlyle et al.

Liquid Engines, of Sunnyvale, a provider of corporate tax management software, said it has raised $5.5 million in a follow-on round of Series C funding, bringing its total to about $30 million.

Existing investors, The Carlyle Group, Advanced Technology Ventures, Charles River Ventures, and Catamount Ventures participated in the round.

Liquid Engines said it will use the additional funding to fuel continued expansion across the business operation, including product development, professional services, sales, and marketing.
