Kilopass Technology raises $7.75M for chip IP

Kilopass Technology Inc., which provides intellectual property for chips, has concluded a $7.75 million Series D round of venture capital.

New lead investor Pitango Venture Capital was joined by U.S. Venture Partners, BlueRun Ventures and iGlobe Partners Inc. in the round. This funding will enable Kilopass to expand its customer base and market presence as well as further its IP development, Kilopass Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing Charles Ng said.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Kilopass has raised about $24 million to date, Ng said, most recently securing an $8.8 million Series C round in October 2005.
